These were originally rolled into fingers. (Mom's Hungarian neighbor called them "Moldy Fingers" because of the green pistachios.) i started making them round as they were easier to pack in paper cups.
|1||Cup||Almonds||Ground; stir in, mix well. Add 1Tsp water if needed to hold together.|
|1||Each||Pistachios||Finely chopped, quantity to taste.|
|1||Each||Chocolate Chips||Quantity to taste.|
Roll into 1" balls. Flatten with the bottom of a glass. Bake 325 degrees ~12 minutes until pale golden in color. When cool, spread half of the cookie with the melted chocolate chips. Dip in chopped pistachios. Chill in refrigerator to set the chocolate.
Alternatively, roll into 2" fingers and bake a couple minutes longer. Dip end into chocolate, then nuts.
