Another cookie we made almost every year since 1952 was the Spritz. I always used almond extract rather than vanilla. We usually made 1 1/2 -2 batches to have enough dough to make white, green, and red cookies.
|1||Each||Egg||Add to butter mix; mix until light and fluffy.|
|2 1⁄2||Cup||Flour||Sift together; Add to butter mix a bit at a time to work it in.|
Color dough if desired. Fill cookie press and press out cookies on bake sheet. Decorate with cherries, nuts, or sugars. Bake 9-10 min or until lightly brown on bottom.
