This was a recipe from my Aunt. Her mother-in-law was Scottish. This was my Dad's favorite cookie.
|1||Cup||Butter||Mix as pie dough.|
|1⁄2||Cup||Sugar||Add 1 milk with baking soda dissolved in milk. May need more milk to hold together.|
On floured board, roll to 1/4" thick. Cut in shapes, for example, with a 1 1/2" - 2" cutter. Sprinkle and press in sugar. Bake 325 degrees 1--15 minutes until golden.
